De Belastingdienst is 24 uur per dag, 7 dagen per week in beweging. Zo ook onze dataspecialisten die werkzaam zijn bij de FIOD, Toeslagen, de Douane óf bij het onderdeel Datafundamenten & Analytics (DF&A), dat met ongeveer zes petabyte aan data de grootste en meest dynamische data-omgeving is binnen de Nederlandse overheid.
Bij de Belastingdienst is iedere Nederlander klant en daardoor beschikken we over talloze gegevens uit verschillende bronnen. Je kunt er onder andere werken
aan risicomodellen, het onderzoeken van fraude signalen, procesoptimalisaties, maatwerkanalyses (bijvoorbeeld voor beleidsmakers) en dynamisch monitoren (gebruikmakend van onder meer machine learning).
Vakgebied én afdeling in ontwikkeling
Dataspecialisten kunnen overal werken binnen de Belastingdienst, maar met name DF&A is een relatief jong onderdeel dat volop in ontwikkeling is en waar veel gebieden nog ontgonnen moeten worden. Er is heel veel te doen en de hoeveelheid data werk neemt alleen maar toe. Om aan die toenemende vraag te kunnen voldoen, groeit DF&A (nu 300+ FTE) al jaren en zal dat ook de komende jaren blijven doen. Het huidige team bestaat voornamelijk uit data scientists, maar ook data engineers, data-analisten, frontend-developers en functioneel beheerders vervullen een onmisbare rol.

Development & ICT at DSW
At DSW we prefer to create our own software applications. We hardly ever use ready-made programs. Our systems for processing healthcare expenses claims, for the registration of new clients or for robotics: our own people designed, developed and tested each and everyone of these. Are you interested in development, but still lacking the skills? No problem! We have our own training programs for C# and SQL to make sure you can quickly become a full-fledged member of our teams for developing applications. Building our own chatbot Nikkie or integrating IDEAL in our app, to make it easier for the insured to pay their bills? Our developers consider it a piece of cake!
